Bailey to Give it His Best Shot

The East Bendigo Rifle Range is the venue this Sunday for the seventh race of the Bendigo Athletic Club cross-country season, the Schultz and Stewart Landscaping 6500 metres Handicap.  The hot favourite for the race is Kangaroo Flat runner John Bailey.

Bailey is in excellent form having finished second in Race 6 and then leading his team to victory in last week’s Club relays.  John is unlikely to have it all his own way however with plenty of others, led by Ingrid Douglass and Mark Perdon, looking to upstage him and grab the win and the accompanying $250.

Will The Sait Come Marching In?

Huntly Livestock Exchange is the venue this Sunday for the sixth race of the Bendigo Athletic Club cross-country season, the Purtill’s Nursery 8000 metres Handicap.  The hot favourite for the race is Shepparton runner Tony Sait.

Sait placed sixth and was the first Veteran home in last week’s rich Flack Advisory Classic and appears to be finding his best form at just the right time.  Tony is unlikely to have it all his own way however with plenty of others, led by Greg Hilson and Austin Beamish, looking to upstage him and grab the win and the accompanying $250.

Funky cold Adina wins Flack Advisory Winter Classic

After a frantic last minute drive through the outer suburbs of Bendigo and a rushed warm up, causing her to miss the start slightly, Adina Morrow still managed to record her first VCCL win in Sunday’s Flack Advisory Handicap. On her first trip to Woodvale, Adina was guided to the venue over the phone by Mark Findlay.
