Richard keeps it in the family for the Schultz’s

A week after his wife Rhonda broke through for her well earned win it would now be Richard Schultz who would keep that winning feeling in the family after comfortably taking out race 5 of the Bendigo Athletic Club cross country season.

The race was kindly sponsored by long time supporter of the sport Phil Noden.  In keeping with the family theme, the 6.5km course was held at his fathers, Keith Noden’s property at Millers Flat Road in the Whipstick.

Rhonda Runs Rings Round the Rest!

After the first three races of the Bendigo Athletic Club’s 2015 season were dominated by backmarkers Rhonda Schultz reversed the trend in the Vin Drechsler Memorial Handicap held at Woodvale on Sunday.  Running strongly from the front Rhonda was never headed and held on to win by 7 seconds from pre-race favourite Josh Sait.  Rhonda’s husband Richard lost the battle of the Schultz’s but still finished a creditable third.

Sait Looks Great!

The Woodvale Recreation Reserve is the venue this Sunday for the fourth race of the Bendigo Athletic Club cross-country season, the Vin Drechsler Memorial 6500 metres Handicap.  This event has a special meaning for the Club as Vin, a long-standing and generous sponsor of the BAC, passed away recently.
