Jolly Jess Too Goode For Ben & Chook!

Jessica O’Hara has raced to a convincing win in the Bendigo Athletic Club’s Phil Noden 6500 metres held in Miller’s Flat Road, Whipstick, just north of Bendigo on Sunday.

Jessica ran a time of 27.08 minutes, to win by 40 seconds from regular placegetter Ben Goode with the age matured Chook Stewart in third place.

New club runner Cody Williamson recorded the fastest time of 21.23 for the 6.5Km course ahead of Timon Dooley 22.00 minutes and Kyall Britten 22.14 minutes.

Parker Pips Chook By A Feather At Woodlands

Adam Parker has won the most recent race of the Bendigo Athletic Club season by the narrowest of margins, in the VM & HM Drechsler 8000 metre Sealed Handicap held in Melbourne at the back of Tullamarine Airport at Woodlands Historical Park on Sunday morning.

Through persistent rain, Parker pipped Chook Stewart by just one second, to claim the $250 local prizemoney & sash, with Jessica O’Hara in third place.

Rising Star Hilson ‘Sparks’ to life at the MCG Ruff Electrical 5km

After a solid start to the season last week, Kyle Hilson has turned up the ‘voltage’ to take out the Mark Ruff Electrical sponsored 5K at the Mandurang Cricket Ground. Hilson clocked 23.23 minutes and showed fantastic ‘resistance’ to hold out Ryan Shelton, who was sitting right behind him for most of the race.
