Bailey to Give it His Best Shot

The East Bendigo Rifle Range is the venue this Sunday for the seventh race of the Bendigo Athletic Club cross-country season, the Schultz and Stewart Landscaping 6500 metres Handicap.  The hot favourite for the race is Kangaroo Flat runner John Bailey.

Bailey is in excellent form having finished second in Race 6 and then leading his team to victory in last week’s Club relays.  John is unlikely to have it all his own way however with plenty of others, led by Ingrid Douglass and Mark Perdon, looking to upstage him and grab the win and the accompanying $250.

The senior race will commence at 10:30am and will be preceded by a Children’s Race over 1000 metres at 10am.  In the Kid’s race Ava Stewart will be hoping to hold off Isabella Ellis to notch her first win of the season.
