Gilligan Tops the Field!

Melinda Gilligan has stormed through Sundays field of 32 runners to win race 10 of the Bendigo Athletic Club.

Gilligan raced off a 1:10 handicap to claim victory in the Boundary Hotel sponsored event.

Gilligan was the 4th runner to start in the 3km race at No. 7 Reservoir with the race resulting in a front marker dominated event with two of the runners that started in front of Gilligan ‘Matt Cutler’ and ‘Kerry Ellis’ finishing 2nd and 3rd respectively.

A Norton Ruled Race 10!

Alirah Norton has claimed victory in race 10 of the juniors on Sunday, with Alirah’s brother ‘Kai Norton’ also running on into 2nd place.

Following behind the Norton siblings was Caleb Marron who ran on into 3rd place.

Fastest time of the juniors was narrowly won by Baxter Parker in 4:24 from Kai Norton in 4:26.

Ben Just Too Goode at the MCG!

One of the clubs more consistent runners, Ben Goode has taken first place honours in this Sundays Bendigo Athletic Club 5km race conducted through the hills of Mandurang.

On the tough hilly course, commencing at the Mandurang Cricket Ground Goode showed his class by running his quickest km rate of the season while most others ran slower on the challenging course.
