Marron Brothers Combine!

Dylan Marron has taken out race 9 from his younger brother to win the junior 1km at Mandurang Cricket Ground on Sunday.

There were 11 enthusiastic kids ready to take on the 1km course, however it was Dylan with his first ever run with the club who won convincingly!
It was a great effort by him to produce such a good run on his first attempt!

His younger brother Caleb was the next runner home in his first run as well so a big congratulations to the Marron brothers!
Rounding out the top three was Kai Norton with another strong performance.

Young Gun Rossi Wins Woodvale Thriller!

One of if not the youngest runner, ‘Sebastian Rossi’ has won race 8 of the Bendigo Athletic Club.

Only 11 years old, Rossi on Sunday, took his place amongst the pantheon of race winners to win the 6.5km event in a time of 30:16.

A first-year runner with the club, Rossi ran three 17th placings including a 20th placing in previous season races before taking out the Schultz and Stewart sponsored event.

With a starting handicap of 8:20, Rossi set off with co-marker Charlie Wardrop and started making his move through the field of 28 runners.

Another Good Win By Tabitha!

Tabitha Goode has taken out race 8 of the junior 1km at Woodvale on Sunday.

11 runners contested the 1km event, but Tabitha ultimately proved too good in winning by a comfortable margin of 26 seconds from Jack Gaskin in 2nd place and Olivia Gaskin in 3rd position.

Edward Boase narrowly defeated Kai Norton for fastest runner of the day in a time of 4:35 from Kai’s time of 4:40.
