Georgia Blitzes the Field!

Georgia White ran an excellent race today in the Juniors 1km to beat her closest rival, Harper-Lee Basten by nearly a minute.

Georgia now has bragging rights over her sister Freya, and can boast all she wants about her success.

Meanwhile Harper-Lee is getting evermore closer to achieving a win after getting two 2nd’s and a 3rd this season and is likely to get a win in the next race or two.  Hang in there Harper-Lee!

Professional Running Great Holds Off The Competition

Long-time Bendigo athletic club runner, Rod Stewart has taken out race 4 of the BAC. The race was hard fought with 500m to go as Greg Hilson made an attempt to take the lead, however Stewart made a gutsy last minute dash to hold off Hilson and win the Phil Noden sponsored 6.5km event. It was a great run by the seasoned veteran who managed to improve on his last 6.5km time by an impressive 44 seconds.

Baxter Breaks Through!

It was an exciting race in the junior 1km event with Baxter Parker narrowly beating Daniel Noden with Harper-Lee Basten running strongly to finish 3rd. Today's was an impressive third win for Baxter in the BAC juniors. It should also be mentioned that Daniel Noden ran exceptionally well in the junior’s race with a time of 3.33 showing the young runners potential to become a great athlete in the future.

Third Time's The Charm For Club Legend

After having come 2nd in the previous two races for the season, Rick Ermel has finally claimed victory in the third race of the Bendigo athletic club.

Ermel used his legendary 19 years of club champion experience to hold off a strong finishing Ben Goode and Ingrid Douglass to win the 6.5km Bridge Hotel sponsored event.

The much flatter course at Woodvale suited Ermel, as he was able to improve on his last 6.5km time at Mandurang by nearly a minute to win in a time of 27.28.
