Caleb crushes the win!

Caleb Marron has taken out Race 8 of the children's 1km run held this morning out at Woodvale Recreation Reserve.

Thankfully with the weather cleared, a field of 10 children took part. Starting off a handicap of 1 min 10 secs Caleb took the lead with about 400 metres to go and held on to win by a great margin of 20 seconds. Second and third was a great tussle with Jack Gaskin narrowly edging out Dylan Marron for 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Ingrid hangs tough to win Race 7

Ingrid Douglass has put in a strong performance to win Race 7 held out at Huntly Livestock Exchange.

Ingrid also took out fastest female to cap off a great day. Running strong from the start, Ingrid was determined to work her way through the field early. Peter Le Busque worked hard to keep up with Ingrid but couldn't quite match her, finishing 6 seconds behind in second place, in what was Peter's best run this season. Third place went to last week's second place Andrew Sait who has put together some very strong performances.

Baxter's Back to Claim the Win!

In his first race for the 2019 season, Baxter Parker has put in a blistering run to win Race 7, held at the Huntly Livestock Exchange.

Baxter ran a very impressive 1km time of 4.16 mins to win by 16 seconds from Olivia Gaskin who has now had 4 top 3 finish's in a row without grabbing a win (maybe next week Olivia!). Third place went to Dylan Marron who put in a gutsy finish to hold off a rampaging Kai Norton.

Next week we are back at Woodvale Recreation Reserve before having a break for school holidays (Yay!). Today's results were:

Matthews Makes His Mark!

Luke Matthews has put in a PB to be a deserving and popular winner for Race 6 of the BAC season, held out at Crusoe Reservoir over a distance of 6.5klm.

Luke held off a determined Andrew Sait who ran brilliantly to finish second, and almost claimed another win for the Shepparton crew. Third place went to Race 3 winner Kerry Ellis who also ran a PB over the distance.  Amongst the many runners who were left in Kerry's wake was her husband Kane (again).  It's been clearly established who the running star is in the Ellis household!
