Matthews Makes His Mark!

Luke Matthews has put in a PB to be a deserving and popular winner for Race 6 of the BAC season, held out at Crusoe Reservoir over a distance of 6.5klm.

Luke held off a determined Andrew Sait who ran brilliantly to finish second, and almost claimed another win for the Shepparton crew. Third place went to Race 3 winner Kerry Ellis who also ran a PB over the distance.  Amongst the many runners who were left in Kerry's wake was her husband Kane (again).  It's been clearly established who the running star is in the Ellis household!

In the 3k event, which was actually run over 3,160 metres, Justine Graham finished first in 19:52 from the improving Cherie Gaskin in 20:39.

Next week we are out at the Huntly Livestock Exchange for a 8klm run. More importantly, we are then all invited back to Rod and Carol Stewart's house for a social lunch. If last years event was anything to go by, it will be one of the highlights of our season. Thanks Rod & Carol, we all really appreciate it.
