Only a field of three juniors braved the wintery conditions to race the 1km event with Edward Boase finally claiming victory and achieving fastest time in 4:46.

A first year competitor with the club, Edward has come close to victory in 5 races during the season including two 2nds and a 3rd before finally snatching a 1st in this Sundays race.

Edward toughed out the cold weather to finish in front of 2nd place getter Tabitha Goode with Abbey Cutler running on Strongly into 3rd place.
