The most closely contested race of the season finished with a 1 second victory to Connor Findlay in Race 17 of the Junior season.  Connor had also tasted victory in the Race 1 this year.

Connor had to produce his best to win because Isabella Ellis had laid down a challenge with a strong solid performance that gave her every chance of winning herself.  Isabella was only caught in the last 100 metres of the race and then fought on bravely to make Connor earn his win.

Next Sunday is the last race of the regular season for the Junior competitors with the following week, August 28th, comprising a run for the kids at the Livestock Exchange followed by Presentation Day at the Clubrooms from 12:30 p.m.
