The Central Test Junior 1k event returned the 15th different winner from 15 races.  Ava Stewart raced to a convincing win in her fastest time of the season, crossing the line 13 seconds ahead of the next runner.  The incredibly consistent Harper-Lee Basten, who has finished first or second in six of her last seven starts, claimed second place again, holding off the fast finishing Connor Findlay by 5 seconds.  Jazlin Fear improved her season’s best by 9 seconds, running fastest time for the event of 3:47.

Harper-Lee’s consistency makes her the favourite for next week’s Junior event to be held at No. 7 Reservoir.  However Connor Findlay, Jazlin Fear, Jaymin Boulton and Tanner Fear will be doing their best to spring a surprise.
