In a fiercely contested 1k Junior race at Keith Noden's property in the Whipstick Forest 5 seconds was all that separated the three placegetters.  When the dust settled Oliver Stewart had run his fastest time (4:08) and claimed his first win with the Club.

Oliver had the difficult task of running down the determined Livinia Douglass while also keeping backmarker Emma Gilligan at bay.  Oliver passed Livinia with about 150 metres to run and pulled away to win by 4 seconds.

Livinia fought all the way to the line and claimed second place, holding off Emma by a mere 1 second.  Emma ran Fastest Time, equalling her Club best of 3:38.

Next Sunday morning Mandurang Cricket Ground will be the venue for the Junior race and all kids are welcome to come along and partipate.
