Connor Findlay left the best for last, winning the final race of the Bendigo Athletic Club Kid’s Series season at No. 7 Reservoir in Kangaroo Flat on Sunday morning.  Connor ran his fastest time for the year, improving on his previous best by 5 seconds for the 1 kilometre distance.

Connor never looked like losing and crossed the line 4 seconds clear of the consistent Baxter Parker with Baxter’s brother Jack Parker a further 4 seconds back in third place.

This was Connor’s second win for the season from 10 starts and he joins Jack Parker, Matthew Noden and Isabella Ellis as the only runners to win twice this year.

Competitors and their families are reminded that the Children’s Presentation Day will take place at the Bendigo Athletic Clubrooms in the Tom Flood Sports Centre at 12:30 P.M. on Sunday August 30th.  Food and drinks will be supplied, and there will be a presentation to every runner who has competed in three or more events for the season.
