No. 7 Reservoir at Kangaroo Flat is the venue this Sunday for the tenth race of the Bendigo Athletic Club cross-country season, the Central Trophies and Gifts 8000 metres Handicap. This race is wide open with at least half a dozen potential winners.
It comes down to a battle of age versus youth – the maturity and experience of veterans Kane Ellis, Kevin Shanahan, Chook Stewart and Mark Perdon against the youth and enthusiasm of Reza Azimi and Ingrid Douglass. In a close finish Kane might just outlast Reza.
The senior race will commence at 10:30am and will be preceded by a Children’s Race over 1000 metres at 10am. Last week in the Kid’s race Jack Parker notched his second win of the season and this time his brother Baxter will be hoping to hold off Connor Findlay and grab his second as well.
