Ryan goes Flyin into 1st Place!

Ryan Shelton has taken the win for race 8 of the Bendigo Athletic Club.

It was another close race, this time between Shelton and Lachlan Perdon in the Old Boundary Hotel sponsored 3km at No. 7 Reservoir.

Capitalising on race favourite, Paul Bennett’s absence, Shelton set off at a strong early pace to quickly overtake most of front markers.

However Perdon, who started behind Shelton, was quickly gaining momentum, passing through the main pack of runners and eying off the first place himself.

Freya White shows off her might!

Freya White has come out on top in the junior 1km at No. 7 reservoir today.

Freya ran a great time of 6:53 in the 1km to finish ahead of new runner ‘Lily’ and the consistent place getter ‘Harper-Lee Basten’.

Harper-Lee also showed off her impressive speed in taking out the fastest time of the day in 5:56.

Following Harper-Lee was previous race winner and Freya’s sister, ‘Georgia White’ who was followed by another new runner ‘Tabatha’ and ‘Georgia Ryan’.

Ingrid Runs on to Victory in Race 7 of the BAC.

Ingrid Douglass has taken out the 5km Vin Drechsler Memorial in Sunday's race at Mandurang with Paul Bennett coming 2nd.

It was a tough duel between frontmarkers Douglass and Bennett, with both runners being equally matched for most of the race, conquering the steep hills and running almost shoulder to shoulder right up to the last 1km where Douglass proved to be the better competitor on the day, surging ahead of Bennett to win the Drechsler family sponsored event, 14 seconds clear of her rival.

Jack Attack!

In the 1km Junior race, Jack Parker has matched the feat of his brother Baxter in taking home a win this season in a solid time of 7.22 narrowly beating Freya White to the finish, with Harper-Lee Basten running on to finish in 3rd. The next three runners to finish were Baxter Parker, Georgia White and Isabella Ellis.

Baxter Parker ran the fastest time in 4:42.
